We have an exciting opportunity available for a Ramp Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team based at Perth Airport on a part-time basis for the right candidate.
The core purpose of the Ramp Supervisor is to lead a small team to service an aircraft turnaround in a safe and efficient manner, whilst following all safety operating procedures. This involves maximising performance and culture across the areas of safety, efficiency and reliability and continuously exceeding the service delivery expectations of Aus Flight Handling's clients (airlines) and their customers. While prior experience in aviation is highly desirable, we are also able to provide full training for the right candidate.
Main Responsibilities:
Leadership & Culture:
* Ensure that the team have the tools and equipment to effectively carry out their roles and come up with solutions including creating justifications for procuring additional tools / equipment where required.
* Ensure effective communication of operational and business-related information with the team.
* Ensure the team achieves defined key performance criteria.
* Uphold staff disciplines and adherence to Aus Flight Handling, client and regulatory procedures and policies.
* Lead a culture that values equality, fairness, and transparency, and zero tolerance for bullying, discrimination, and harassment.
Operational:
* Demonstrate decision making and organisational skills to efficiently meet performance requirements and maintain schedule and operational integrity for our clients.
* Ensure the team achieves defined key performance criteria including but not limited to on-time performance, mishandled baggage, GSE maintenance and auditing, adherence to SOP's, service, precision timings and compliance.
* Maintain an exceptional standard of service to all passengers for all our clients.
* Ensure smooth running of our operations with a proactive and pre-emptive approach.
* Proactively identify operational weaknesses and implement corrective actions.
* Provide OH&S supervision and guidance.
* Assist with operational duties.
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
* Working knowledge of Australian aviation regulations, along airport and airline operational policies and procedures.
* Demonstrated ability to influence a team to achieve positive business and operational outcomes.
* High proficiency in spoken and written English.
* Proficient computer skills.
* Understanding of OH&S framework, practices, and principles.
Required Competencies:
Ability to work with minimal direction, displaying initiative and motivation, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and in full detail; and be a participative and supportive team member.

* Ability to operate powered and non-powered equipment (state driving license essential).

* Pass Drug, Alcohol tests.
* Able to obtain an ASIC (requires a federal police background check)
* Ability to work weekends and Public Holidays including Christmas.
* Ability to work any shift from 05:00am to 11:00pm.
* Commit to shift lengths of minimum 4 hours per day.
* Available for 2 weeks' paid full-time training.
* Reliable transport to and from Perth Airport.
