The Finance Business Partnering function, within the Chief Financial Officer portfolio, plays a critical role in supporting ASIC's strategic and operational decision‑making. The team partners closely with business groups to deliver high‑quality financial insight, budget and forecasting support, capital and project financial management, and robust month‑end and year‑end reporting. The role As Manager, Finance Business Partnering (EL2), you will lead a team of finance business partners to deliver timely, insightful and high‑quality financial advice to senior executives, enabling them to manage resources effectively and achieve business outcomes. You will be accountable for: * Leading and developing a team of Finance Business Partners, fostering capability, performance and engagement * Providing strategic financial insight and advice to senior executives on budgets, forecasts, risks and opportunities * Overseeing end‑to‑end financial management processes, including budgeting, forecasting, month‑end and year‑end reporting across operational and capital budgets * Building strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across ASIC to support informed decision‑making * Supporting the education and implementation of TechnologyOne, and driving improved financial capability across the business * Providing proactive and ad‑hoc financial reporting, analysis and commentary to shape business outcomes * Driving continuous improvement in finance business partnering services, processes and controls * Managing financial risks and issues, including identifying and addressing budget anomalies * Coaching and mentoring team members, supporting their development and performance As an EL2 manager, you are accountable for: * Achieving business goals and delivering outcomes aligned to ASIC's strategic priorities * Your own personal effectiveness and leadership impact * The output, performance and behaviours of your team * Building and sustaining a high‑performing, collaborative team * Recommending system and process improvements to optimise long‑term outcomes You will also work professionally, positively and cooperatively across ASIC, modelling the values of Accountability, Professionalism and Teamwork. About you To succeed in this role, you will bring: * A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or Finance * CPA or CA qualification (desirable) * Demonstrated experience leading a finance business partnering team in a complex environment * Strong experience providing financial advice, analysis and interpretation to senior leaders * Proven people leadership capability, including coaching, performance management and workflow oversight * Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy * Experience preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, management reporting and business planning * Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted, productive relationships * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex financial information to diverse audiences * Experience working in, or with, government or large public sector organisations (desirable) * Experience managing complex matters and projects (desirable) View the position description for more information or click ‘apply' to start your application.
