* Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12 with salary ranging from $149,739 to $173,174 + super and annual leave loading

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Intelligence Specialist to join the Finance team within the NSW Department of Education.

In this role, you will lead the delivery of Finance's business intelligence strategy, providing data-driven insights, reporting solutions and visualisations that support strategic decision making across the Department.

Working closely with Finance leaders and stakeholders, you will help strengthen reporting capability, improve data governance and ensure high-quality financial information and reporting outcomes.

About you


You are a strategic and solutions-focused professional with strong experience in business intelligence, financial reporting and data analytics within a large and complex environment.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

* Extensive experience in business intelligence, financial reporting and data visualisation
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with high attention to detail
* Experience working with large and complex data sets while ensuring data quality and integrity
* Knowledge of data governance, reporting frameworks and business intelligence best practice
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to influence and provide advice to non-technical audiences

Key knowledge and experience

* Extensive experience in the design, delivery and maintenance of business intelligence strategies and governance protocols.
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

* Qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
