Highly successful with staff enjoying a positive and trusting work culture, they are in need of a new General Manager to lead the development and delivery of the Association's key membership, events, training, and communications initiatives.
The Role
The role of General Manager – Communications & Stakeholder Engagement is a key senior position reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with a highly skilled team of 4 direct reports including the Professional Development Coordinator, Marketing & Communications Coordinator, Training & Education Manager, and Administration Coordinator.
This dynamic role involves:
* Overseeing management for industry engagement events
* Program management
* Developing and overseeing relevant and current training materials, workshops, and e-learning initiatives
* Community and stakeholder engagement
The Person
We are very interested to speak to you if you have:
* Effective people leadership skills and experience
* Credibility and networks in the Australian livestock or agribusiness sector
* Experience in communications and event management
* Commercial acumen in delivering member services, training, and events
* Proven industry and stakeholder engagement skills
* The ability to understand, relate to, and connect with a broad range of industry entities
* Excellent organizational and planning skills
* Advanced administration skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize, and adapt
* Willingness to travel as required
Ideally, you will have a passion for agriculture or a background in agriculture, with a reputation for exceptional communication and engagement skills, and a desire to make a difference. The role is ideally based at ALFA's head office in Sydney.
