ABOUT THE ROLE As the Clinical Nurse, you will be: Delivering evidence-based nursing care; Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team; Ensuring patient and staff safety; Overseeing safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards; Supporting and liaising with the Perioperative Services Manager, staff, and VMO anaesthetist. REQUIREMENTS Current registration with AHPRA; Previous experience in a CN / Anaesthetic role, or practicing in the role of anesthetic nurse for more than 3-4 years in a team leader role; A relevant post-graduate qualification or commitment to commence within 12 months of appointment; Commitment to Quality Patient Care; Compliance with NSQHC National standards; Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills; Experience in a similar position (desired); Excellent communication and customer service skills; Knowledge of accreditation processes and quality/risk management; Being highly organised and having a strong ability to prioritise tasks. ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in the South East of Brisbane, is an acute facility that provides acute Medical, Day Oncology, Surgical, Maternity, Rehabilitation, and Critical Care services. The day surgery unit is a day of surgery admission centre and a day surgery/endoscopy unit. 2 procedure rooms perform various procedures, including diagnostic and interventional Endoscopies, Colonoscopies, and minor plastics and urological procedures.
