South Yarra Psychology is an established award-winning private psychology practice, based inSouth Yarra.
South Yarra Psychology is committed to high-level service delivery. The practice strives to maintain a culture that fosters job satisfaction. This is achieved via an environment that provides a balance of support (a friendly team, optional group supervision and administrative support) and independence to contractors.
Position
As the practice is expanding, a position has become available for a clinical psychologist who wishes to work primarily (or exclusively) with adult clients, between 2-5 days per week(in South Yarra). Some days may be worked as half days, if desired (subject to room availability).
More about the role
* theclient population is primarily comprisedofadult clients (betweenearly 20's to mid 40's)attending forindividual therapy.
* administrative/ receptionist support is available 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri.
* maximum of 6 clients per working day (more may be booked, if desired).
* favourable commission/ pay (including higher fees after 4pm).
* the practice does not expect contractors to conduct their own marketing.
* the practice does not bulk bill clients.
* option to attend the practice'sgroup supervision(two hours, once a month), which is facilitated by a registered supervisor/ clinical psychologist.
* The practice hasestablished referral pathways, and is committed to keeping psychologists fully booked, yet not over-booked.

Required
* Full registration as a psychologist with AHPRA
* Experience as a fully registered psychologist working with clients in a therapeutic setting (private practice experience is preferred, but not required)
* Experience working with a wide range of mental health disorders and clientele
* Able to work independently and autonomously
* Exceptional time-management and organisation skills
* Willing to offer some appointments outside of 9am-5pm
* Eligible to register to as a service provider with Medicare (so clients can receive rebates)
* Committed to continued professional development
Desirable (not required)
* A specific area of interest, with regard to client presenting issues
* Training/ experience in the following therapeutic approaches is preferred (but not required): EMDR, schema therapy, IFS.
