Role Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic registered nurse to join our clinical team.
About The Role
Community Mental Health Services provide a range of services designed to help support the recovery and help consumer stay well in the community.
The team provide specialist services for young people, children and families, adults, and older people.
Community mental health services include a specialist Aboriginal Mental Health Team, bilingual mental health workers and Peer Support Workers.
Our main sites are at Canterbury, Croydon, Camperdown, Marrickville, and Redfern Community Health Services.
The role will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
The Acute Care Service model of care provides:
Mental Health assessments to consumers within the community experiencing acute mental health problems (including a rapid response when indicated) and determining an appropriate pathway to care (e.g., community treatment; assist consumers access and admission to inpatient treatment).
Short term mental health treatment in the community often as an alternative to hospital.
In reach to hospital to promote effective follow up post mental health admission.
Collaborative care for consumers transferring between hospital and community.
The model provides short term mental health interventions in the community for consumers experiencing mental health distress.
Once the symptoms have resolved and the presentation is no longer acute the team collaborate with other stakeholders for the most appropriate ongoing care and treatment.
Ideal Candidate
Recognised nursing tertiary qualifications, current nursing registration with AHPRA.
Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.
