About the team
The Payroll team sits within the Finance function and plays a critical role in ensuring employees across RFDS WA are paid accurately and on time. Working closely with People and Culture, Finance and external providers, the team supports a complex operating environment with diverse employment types, awards and conditions, underpinned by strong governance and compliance requirements.
About the role
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of payroll, including fortnightly pay runs, approvals, reconciliations, adjustments, back pays and end-of-financial-year activities.
* Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and statutory reporting obligations, including audit support and liaison with external agencies.
* Drive continuous improvement across payroll systems, processes and controls, including remediation of issues, reporting enhancements and system optimisation.
About you
* Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a payroll function in a complex organisation.
* Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and statutory compliance requirements.
* Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate outcomes to tight deadlines.
* Experience with payroll systems such as Dayforce or ADP, and involvement in system enhancements or implementations, highly regarded.
