Talent Pool - Casual Correctional Officer - Cessnock Correctional Complex
Join us in the Cessnock Correctional Complex to ensure community safety and support the rehabilitation of offenders. The role involves supervising inmates, conducting searches, monitoring behaviour, and maintaining safety and security in prisons and court cells throughout New South Wales.
Responsibilities
Supervise inmates in correctional facilities, including prisons and court cells.
Conduct searches, monitor behaviours, and maintain the safety and security of the facility.
Communicate effectively with inmates and staff to support a diverse workforce.
Assist offenders in finding paths for improvement and support their rehabilitation.
Requirements
Minimum age 18 years old.
Current driver's licence.
Australia or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
Willingness to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice (nationally recognised).
Meet medical standards and have a reasonable level of fitness.
No body art or modifications that are offensive or visible on face, scalp, ears, neck, or hands.
