Concord Golf Club has an exciting prospect for a 1st year apprentice horticulturist. The role involves working closely with your Section Leader in maintaining all aspects of the Clubhouse and Course gardens, as well as an opportunity to gain course maintenance experience.
We are looking for a committed and reliable person who:
Is interested in starting an apprenticeship in horticulture
Enjoys working as part of a team
Has a robust work ethic and an interest in greenkeeping
Enjoys working outdoors
Can attend TAFE one day per week at Ryde
Has the ability to commence work from 5:30am
Duties and responsibilities:
Maintain Clubhouse and Course gardens
Assist with course set up procedures
Work according to WH&S; procedures
Assist in construction projects as required
The successful applicant will:
Obtain qualifications in Certificate III Horticulture
Receive one-on-one training from their Section Leader
Have the potential to earn monthly bonuses for meeting key performance indicators
Work with a friendly and supportive team
Position includes paid overtime available and weekend work required on a roster system with 5.30am - 9.30am shifts.
