genU is looking for Support workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.
Please review the roster pattern to ensure you can work the shifts before applying.
What you’ll do
* Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them
* Join customers in the community and do recreational activities
* Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointments
* Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
* Administration duties and mandatory reporting
What you’ll bring
* Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or Higher [CHC33021, CHC33015, CHC33015, CHC33015]
* Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships;
* Ability to follow Person Centred plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes;
* An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
* A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
