Are You Ready to Elevate Quality?
We're searching for a part-time (22.8 hours per week) Quality Assurance Officer & Laboratory Technician who is passionate about excellence and eager to drive transformative improvements in our Quality Management System and Laboratory. This role is your opportunity to make a tangible impact, ensuring our products meet the highest standards ensuring conformance to best practice quality procedures and specifications.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Quality Compliance: Assist in maintaining and certifying our Quality Management Systems, adhering to compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, Organic, SMETA, Halal, Kosher AQIS and customer requirements.
* Laboratory Testing & Analysis: Conduct reliable and precise laboratory tests following strict methodologies to ensure product safety and generate accurate data for scientific investigations.
* Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain lab equipment, including Randox units, centrifuges, autoclaves, pipetting machines, thermometers, and pH meters, troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance as needed.
* Calibration & Environmental Testing: Carry out calibration verifications, manage external calibrations of lab equipment, and perform environmental swabbing and annual testing.
* Sample Management: Oversee repour, retention, and sample identification, ensuring traceability, proper storage, and accurate reporting through the database systems.
* Support Laboratory Projects: Assist in ongoing lab-based projects aimed at improving processes, data accuracy, and product development.
* Champion Food Safety: Develop and oversee procedures that safeguard our food safety, conduct risk assessments and drive compliance with a proactive approach.
* Innovate and Improve: Conduct internal audits, address non-conformances, and implement forward-thinking solutions to enhance our quality systems.
* Empower and Train: Equip our team with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in quality procedures, manage customer complaints and support product data and labeling accuracy.
* Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and champion process improvements, contribute to exciting projects, and be a key player in our continuous improvement journey.
What We're Looking For:
* Relevant Quality or Science qualification.
* Proven experience in quality assurance within an FMCG environment.
* Solid grasp of food safety and quality hazards, risks, and control measures.
* Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office).
* Availability for part-time work (22.8 hours per week)
