About the Role
This is a dynamic HR generalist position based in Sydney or Melbourne, reporting directly to the HR Manager for Australia.
* Coordinating and overseeing the implementation of firm-wide HR policies and procedures.
* Providing guidance to leadership on local laws and compliance.
* Supporting initiatives including CLE/CPD tracking and training program development.
* Assisting with remuneration, benefits, and performance evaluation processes.
* Driving staff engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives.
* Supporting recruitment efforts including graduate and law school programs.
* Assisting with compliance and psychological safety programs.
* Managing HR reporting, performance management, and grievance handling.
* Liaising with payroll on leave and pay queries.
About You
We are seeking a confident, proactive, and experienced HR professional. Previous tenure in a law firm or professional services environment is essential. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset are crucial for success in this role.
* Proven experience in HR operations and project coordination.
* Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach with high attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
This is a permanent full-time role. Candidates seeking a 4-day week will also be considered.
