Ozcare has a part-time position available for a Client Services Assistant - Cafe Barista supporting our clients at our beautiful Douglas Aged Care Facility.
Your Role
As a Cafe Barista you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:
* Prepare espresso-based coffees and other hot and cold beverages to consistent quality and presentation standards.
* Operate, clean, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and beverage equipment.
* Serve light café-style meals, snacks, and sandwiches; assist with basic food preparation tasks allocated by the Cook.
* Provide friendly front-of-house service, taking orders, handling transactions, and assisting residents with menu choices where required.
* Keep the café, dining room, servery and kitchen clean and hygienic; wash and sanitise equipment and service areas after use.
* Support mealtime assistance for residents when required, including safe meal delivery and communication with care staff.
* Perform routine laundry and general cleaning tasks as needed, with focus on high-risk areas for Workplace Health & Safety.
Your Attributes
We're looking for a person who has what it takes to support our aged care team to deliver exceptional services to our clients. You have:
* Demonstrated barista skills and experience with espresso machines, milk texturing, and beverage presentation.
* Strong customer service skills with a warm, respectful approach to older people.
* Willingness to go the extra mile and adapt to a varied roster.
* Positive attitude towards health, wellbeing, and teamwork.
* Experience in commercial or domestic cleaning and basic food-handling knowledge.
* Previous experience assisting frail aged persons or working in aged care settings is highly valued.

Role Requirements
* Vaccinated against Influenza and at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
* Current Police Screening Certificate.
* Proven barista experience and a track record of reliable, hygienic food and beverage service.
* Demonstrated experience in domestic or commercial cleaning; previous aged care assistance experience preferred.
