We have an exciting opportunity for a Men's Family Violence Counsellor to provide clinical assessment, individual and group therapy, and case management support to clients. The role involves working with men who perpetrate family violence and prioritising the safety needs of women and children impacted by violence. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team passionate about community service.Key responsibilities:Assessment of clients considering participation in our programs.Facilitating the Men’s Behaviour Change Program.Providing individual case management support to male perpetrators of violence.About you:A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field.Experience facilitating group therapy, especially Men’s Behaviour Change, is desirable.Experience working in the family violence field, particularly with perpetrators, is desirable.Strong commitment to enhancing safety for women, children, and the community.Western Health is a leading healthcare provider in Victoria, serving a diverse community of over one million people in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
