Newcastle Private Hospital is currently looking for motivated, enthusiastic experienced Registered Nurses to join our Coronary Care Unit team on a full-time basis for 2025 starts. Join a team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals. We are a 189-bed acute private hospital located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park, with 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. Our cardiac suite includes a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite with birthing suites and a special care baby nursery serves families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty cancer treatment with inpatient and day infusion options.
As a Registered Nurse - Coronary Care, you will work with a progressive and dynamic team of Cardiologists, with cross-skilling opportunities with the Angiography Suite staff. You will contribute in a flexible work environment while delivering high standards of patient care in a fast-paced setting.

If you are successful, salary will be based on your years of relevant nursing experience versus the current Nursing Enterprise Agreement (Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses' and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024), with salaries ranging between $35.46 and $49.79 per hour.
More Information: Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable) and evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, evidence-based standards of nursing care
* Collaborate with the Cath Lab team on coronary angiograms, pacemakers, vascular procedures and more
* Lead quality improvement and safety management projects to achieve outcomes
* Work with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
* Act as a role model for Safe Practice
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years' clinical experience in an acute Coronary Care unit
* Valid NSW Working with Children check
* Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent)
* Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
* Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
* Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
* Self-motivated and able to work as part of a high-functioning team
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
