The Role
In this role, you will provide high-level specialist leadership in Reliability Engineering, guiding the development, optimisation and performance of water,sewerand reuse assets. You will play a critical role in shaping asset strategy by delivering expert insights, technical advice and evidence-based recommendations that inform investment decisions and long-term planning. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive improved asset reliability, support operational excellence, and contribute to departmental and organisationalobjectives. Yourexpertisewill ensure our infrastructure is safe,sustainableand capable of meeting current and future customer needs.
* Building and developing the performance,conditionand risk of the assets (past, current and predictive)
* Project technical input / oversight of the Water Efficiency Program, Sewer Improvement Programand Overall Scheme Asset Health visibility
* Lead,directand contribute to application of Reliability Engineering practices toeliminatedefects, analyse mean time to failure, and optimise investment interventions tomaintainexpected levels of service across water,sewerand reuse assets
* Contribute to organisationalobjectivesby ensuring infrastructure reliability aligns with safety,complianceand customer service requirements.
* Partner with operations, maintenance and planning teams toidentifyissues, develop solutions and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for
We’reseeking an experienced Reliability Engineering professional with strong technicalexpertise, exceptional analyticalcapabilityand the ability to influence asset strategy. You will bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset, strong stakeholder engagementskillsand a commitment to delivering safe,reliableand sustainable outcomes across complex water and wastewater systems.
* Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline, or equivalent competency
* Minimum 10years experiencein a similar role witha focuson reliability engineering.
* Strong experience within asset management and process management
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the capability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
* Commitment to fostering a safe,healthyand supportive work environment, promotingwellbeingand ensuring safe asset management practices.

The Details
This role can be based in eitherHobart, Launceston, or Devonportand attracts a salary of$152,924 - $169,915(inclusive of superannuation), negotiable dependent on experience.
