About the role

The Planning Engineer Networks will assist with the development, implementation and use of EGW's water and sewerage network planning. This includes growth and demand forecasting, network hydraulic modelling and associated master planning.

Once identified, you will assist with the development of network related projects into business cases ready to handover to project delivery, and provision of advice to other teams. Ensuring EGW meets its business objectives through providing network assets that meet the required level of service to customers now and in the future.

Key Responsibilities

* Support updates to growth and demand forecasts.
* Collect monitoring data and assist with validating and calibrating hydraulic models.
* Build, maintain and update water and sewer network hydraulic models.
* Contribute to network master plans, water resource plans and asset management planning.
* Assist with optioneering, concept designs, business cases and project handover documentation.
* Investigate network impacts of development proposals and respond to related enquiries.
* Prepare and present technical reports, strategies and action plans.
* Support delivery of capital and operational projects in line with asset and project management frameworks.
* Maintain network design standards and contribute to resolving infrastructure issues.
* Promote a positive, collaborative and inclusive team culture aligned with EGW Values & Behaviours.
* Apply and promote all Health, Safety, Environment and risk management requirements.
* Maintain accurate records and handle customer and employee information professionally and confidentially.

* This role has been classified as per our Enterprise Agreement as a Band 3 position, ($72,912.23 – $94,710.54 per annum)
* Plus 12% employer superannuation contribution. We reserve the right to remunerate successful candidates within the span of this classification dependant on demonstrated skills, experience and qualifications.
