Overview of Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with expertise in property maintenance, painting, and general repair for our headquarters. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of materials, including wood, drywall, and metal, and possess the ability to complete a range of maintenance tasks.
This role is essential for ensuring our property remains in top condition, both functionally and aesthetically. The right candidate should be self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of team, and able to collaborate with facilities and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections to identify repair needs and proactively address them.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, priming, and patching imperfections.
- Apply paint, stains, and finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Patch, repair, and replace drywall as needed.
- Ensure proper maintenance of building exteriors, including power washing and touch-ups.
- Maintain and repair common areas, lobbies, stairwells, and hallways to ensure safety and aesthetics.
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools necessary for repairs and installations.
- Follow all safety guidelines and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and larger projects.
- Keep detailed maintenance logs and report completed work to management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in property maintenance, painting, and general repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Ability to work from ladders and navigate varying heights.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete projects efficiently.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and tools up to 50 lbs.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with tenants, internal teams, and contractors.
- Familiarity with commercial painting standards preferred.
- Experience in basic electric and HVAC a plus.
