About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist / Operator & Print Finishing Hand to join our production team at our inner-east Melbourne facility.
This role is primarily focused on sewing silicone edging into fabric prints of various sizes, used for high-quality advertising displays installed into extruded aluminium frames. Precision, consistency, and versatility across finishing tasks are key.
Key Responsibilities
* Sewing silicone edging into fabric prints with a high level of accuracy
* Handling fabric prints of varying sizes and specifications
* Maintaining consistent quality over long sewing periods
* Supporting other finishing and packing tasks on the shop floor as required
* Assisting the production team to meet deadlines and workflow priorities
Skills & Experience
* Experience operating industrial or commercial sewing machines
* Steady hand with strong attention to detail
* Good eye for alignment, tension, and finish quality
* Ability to concentrate and sew accurately for extended periods
* Versatile and willing to assist across finishing and packing areas
* Reliable, methodical, and quality-focused approach
* Experience in print, textiles, signage, or manufacturing (highly regarded)
