Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled engineering leader to bridge operational technology expertise with executive-level solution consulting in heavy asset industries.
This role combines hands-on client engagement to identify high-value operational improvements with leadership of our technical services delivery team.
* Clients and Value Discovery: Conduct paid consulting engagements with existing and prospective clients to identify operational inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, present findings and solution propositions to C-suite and senior operations executives, develop business cases for operational automation solutions within heavy asset environments.
* Collaboration and Team Leadership: Collaborate with business development teams on qualified opportunities requiring deep operational expertise, lead and mentor a team of 3-4 automation engineers in solution delivery capabilities, coach team members in operational technology concepts and heavy industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* An engineering degree with 8+ years experience in operations/maintenance within heavy asset industries (mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, utilities), proven track record of senior executive engagement and solving complex business problems, deep understanding of operational technology systems, industrial processes, and maintenance strategies.
* Leadership and Business Acumen: Experience leading technical teams (3+ years people management preferred), strong business acumen with ability to quantify operational improvements, excellent communication and presentation skills for C-suite audiences, willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
