We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable Support Worker with a “can do” attitude to provide Personal Care and Domestic Support in a private home

About the Role:You'll be working one-on-one with me – a male with a physical disability – supporting me at home. I have recently moved to Sydney and I’m seeking genuine, capable support workers who can help me to continue and maintain my independence. I have a great sense of humour and enjoy watching and talking about all types of sport.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Personal Care - showering, dressing, grooming, as well as complex support including bowel care and catheter care.
· Meal preparation and assistance with feeding.
· Dysphagia Management.
· Light household tasks.
· Manual handling- using wheelchair, ceiling hoist and slide sheet.
· Medication Management
· Simple Wound Care and Skin Care Management.
· Assistance with passive exercises.
Shifts currently on offer include but are not limited to:
· 3 -4 nights per week
· Active Overnight: 10pm – 7am
All shifts run from Monday to Sunday, and timings are flexible
What You’ll Need:
✔️ The right to live and work in Australia
✔️ A current or willing-to-obtain National Police Check
✔️ Strong communication skills and attention to detail
✔️ Driver’s license
✔️ Manual Handling experience
✔️ Experience with Asthma/COPD
✔️ Anaphylaxis trained
✔️ Experience with SCI preferred but not essential
✔️ Pet Friendly with no allergies to animals.
