Your role: A Gap Year in the Army gives you an exciting taste of life in the ADF with just one year's commitment. You'll get paid for meaningful work, receive full Army training, and enjoy memorable experiences – unlike anything you'd encounter in a regular gap year. As a Human Resources Administrator, you'll experience life as an admin, communication and resource coordination specialist. You'll play a meaningful role in the smooth operation of the Army and the wellbeing of members. Your 12-month experience is divided into stages. First, you'll get paid to learn the military and job-specific skills you need for your role. Then you'll post to a unit to apply your newly learned skills and may have opportunities to travel around Australia to take part in domestic exercises and operations. Plus, you'll be supported by professional and enthusiastic Army personnel throughout your experience. After finishing your Gap Year program, you can choose to continue a career in the Army or you can use your new skills and experiences in future careers outside the ADF. Your duties may include: Administration Support - Provide administrative and payroll support directly for Army personnel Resource and Financial Management – Conduct financial resource management, clerical, administrative, resource and financial management duties Clerical Support - Perform administrative and clerical support functions, such as assisting with planning, coordinating tasks and operational support requirements Data Analysis - Review data to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
