About the role

We're all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager - Employee Relations and Safety Operations to join our team.

The Manager - Employee Relations and Safety Operations is responsible for leading a team of Employee Relations and Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) professionals who provide operational support and advice across all areas of ART.

* Lead and supervise the provision of Employee Relations advice and coaching to ensure compliance with industrial instruments, policies and legislation.
* Oversee ART's response to claims in the Fair Work Commission and other industrial tribunals.
* Guide the delivery of WH&S advice, coaching, investigations, and WH&S incident management.
* Oversee the management of Rehabilitation and Return to Work processes and Workers' Compensation claims.
* Manage vendor relationships, including ART's Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
* Ensure the provision of timely, legally accurate and commercially sound advice to stakeholders.
* Build strong relationships with People Leaders and the broader People and Culture team.
* Build and lead a high performing and engaged team, aligned with ART's purpose and culture.
* Promote a safe, inclusive and healthy work environment, proactively managing risks.

This role is a permanent opportunity.

About you

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field.
* Extensive knowledge of Australian industrial and employment law and processes.
* Extensive knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, Codes of Practice and risk management frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience in case management, providing escalated support and guidance.
* Demonstrated ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation, including the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes at all levels.
