We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Payroll Officer to join our team in Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate, timely and compliant processing of payroll and employee data across a large, fast-paced workforce. Supporting both team members and managers, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time while delivering exceptional service. This is a 14-month maternity leave contract, with the opportunity for ongoing full-time employment. Key Responsibilities Process end-to-end payroll for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance and deadlines are met Manage employee data including new starters, changes, terminations and leave requests Perform pre- and post-pay run checks, resolving discrepancies and payroll issues Handle payroll queries, providing clear and timely support to team members and managers Prepare reports, assist with reconciliations and support month-end processes Collaborate with Payroll, HR and operations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism About You You are highly organised, detail-driven and thrive in a high-volume environment.
