Role OverviewWe're looking for a highly capable and experienced Developer to join our Fantasy Sports team at News Corp Australia.
As we expand our product suite across multiple codes and formats, this role is critical in building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our large-scale, high-traffic fantasy sports platforms.ResponsibilitiesDevelop secure, scalable applications across the back-end, APIs, and front-end.Integrate third-party data, authentication, payments, and platform services.Collaborate with engineers and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.Contribute to sprint planning, code reviews, and release processes.Monitor and maintain live systems, resolving issues proactively.Optimise application and database performance.Support architectural decisions and continuous improvement of engineering practices.QualificationsStrong back-end development experience (PHP, MySQL/Aurora).
Experience with RESTful APIs and server-side architecture.Front-end skills with Angular and TypeScript.Cloud experience (AWS: EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, ECS, S3 preferred).
Familiarity with CI/CD, logging, and monitoring tools.Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance.Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.Interest or experience in fantasy sports (advantage but not essential).
