Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Sunshine Coast, QLD, for a Senior Environmental Engineer. The role involves conducting and managing landfill and groundwater projects, environmental assessments, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and designing sustainable management and mitigation strategies. Responsibilities also include preparing technical and environmental reports, engaging with stakeholders and regulatory authorities, and supporting clients with leachate, wastewater treatment, waste management, and impact assessments. The Senior Environmental Engineer will play a leadership role in guiding project teams to successfully deliver environmental solutions.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of Environmental Compliance and Environmental Impact Assessment regulations and practices
* Expertise in Wastewater Treatment and Waste Management processes
* Proven experience in Environmental Consulting and developing practical, sustainable solutions
* Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical and environmental assessment reports
* Strong project management and team leadership skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and regulatory authorities
* Relevant qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
* Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) status is desirable
* Experience in water quality assessments, soil analysis, and flora/fauna surveys is an advantage
