About the role Councils Family Health Support Services Department is looking for Casual, Maternal and Child Health Nurses who will be responsible for delivering the Victorian Maternal and Child Health Service to our families within the municipality. Main responsibilities will include: Actively participate and contribute to a responsive, holistic and flexible Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Service which optimises the health and well-being, learning, development and safety outcomes for children from birth to 6 years of age and their families within Frankston City Council, using a strength-based, family-centred approach.Deliver a high-quality service that meets State and Local government objectives and targets, and works within professional standards and guidelines of practice to improve the outcomes of all children. This is a casual position with hours negotiated according to business service needs and staff availability.About you Hold an accredited post-graduate tertiary qualifications leading to Maternal and Child Health NursingCurrent Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registrations with both Registered Nurse (Division 1), General and Registered MidwifeExperience in a Microsoft Office Applications and Child Development Information System (CDIS)Completed all mandatory professional development as directed by the Department of Health for MCH services, such as Cultural Competence, Sleep & Settling Model of Care, MARAM and Information Sharing, MERTIL and MOSAIC.
