What you'll do
The Responsible Sourcing Specialist drives Woolworths' sustainability agenda by safeguarding human rights in the horticulture supply chain.
Embed and monitor Responsible Sourcing (RS) due diligence and compliance across the Fruit & Veg supply chain.
Conduct risk assessments, periodic gap analyses of human rights due diligence and monitor changes.
Support suppliers in addressing non-conformance issues and complex human rights risks, and lead corrective action and remediation efforts.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and deepening understanding of human rights and RS requirements.
Lead strategy development for the roll-out of the RS cycle, execute system/data management protocols and provide due diligence reporting.
What you'll bring
Knowledge of the Australian Horticulture industry and experience with responsible sourcing/human rights in this context, including compliance, social auditing and the PALM scheme.
Experience identifying human rights trends, assessing risks and opportunities and developing business responses.
Stakeholder management skills – working with commercial, legal, buyers to advise on compliance results, manage corrective actions and engage effectively.
Knowledge of third-party certifiers or audit schemes such as Sedex/Fair Farms.
Integrity and ethics – act with integrity, independence and prioritize the organization's interests.
Emotional intelligence, business acumen, ability to prioritize, work under pressure; a degree in human rights, a social discipline, law or related field (Horticulture background also considered).
