Medical Laboratory Assistant Role
We are seeking an individual to fill a Medical Laboratory Assistant position in our pathology collection service. This role involves providing high-quality healthcare services, performing venepuncture and specimen collection, data entry, and delivery.
* The successful candidate will have a Certificate III in Pathology Collections or relevant experience, excellent customer service skills, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in computer systems.
* Familiarity with pathology terminology and the ability to learn new concepts is essential for this role.
* Effective communication skills are required to interact with patients, carers, and clinical staff.
* The ideal candidate will possess problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills to resolve issues within the clinical environment.
* An unencumbered Class C Driver's License or ability to travel to any site as required is necessary for this position.
* Availability to work shifts, including weekends and travel within the operational area, is also required.
* Proficient computer skills with attention to detail and data accuracy are necessary for success in this role.
