About the role A new opportunity has arisen for a Mine Maintenance Superintendent to join our Maintenance & Outages team at the Loy Yang Mine. Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Electrical Maintenance team to ensure a function that assists AGL Loy Yang achieve its business performance targets and key performance indicators. What you’ll be doing Effectively utilise resources on all maintenance activities including outages. Ensure maintenance activities are delivered in line with business expectations and Work management principles. Collaborate with other departments in the overall interest of achieving mine and Loy Yang business objectives via high performance team behaviors. Manage the prioritization and execution of maintenance activities within the team based on business requirements. Actively drive a continuous improvement culture and champion the implementation of improvement ideas. Enhance the success of the team by motivating, training and developing team members. About You This opportunity will suit someone who has a passion for managing projects and motivating others while showing a strong commitment to all aspect of safety. What you’ll bring to the table Technical Certificate, Associate Diploma or Engineering Degree relevant to a maintenance discipline. Experience in a leadership role in mining or similar industry. Experience in budget development and cost management. A detailed knowledge of engineering/maintenance/operational practices and procedures relevant to an industrial maintenance environment. High level demonstrated understanding of OH&S management. Experience in the management of maintenance service provider contracts. Experience in the electrical operation and maintenance of High Voltage equipment and distribution system equipment.
