**About the role**
**WHA-2** The Catering Assistant level 2 assists in the provision of a high-quality food & beverage service by undertaking responsibility and duties additional to the level 1 tasks in specific areas of the service including the salad and sandwich area, the preparation of hot breakfast items, ingredients and stores control, opening and securing of an area, cashiering and the meal service (including updating of meal lists or reheating of frozen food.
**WHA-4** The Catering Assistant Level 4 (WHA3 plus Team Leader) contributes to the provision of a high-quality food and beverage service by undertaking responsibility and duties additional to Level 2 in specific areas of the service including assisting with patient meal ordering (administration of patient menus and with the service and distribution of patient meals); food preparation and cooking, team leadership to staff on the floor or the preparation of special fluids and tube feeds
