Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is currently seeking a dedicated O&G; Registrar to join the Medical Services team on a full-time fixed term until 31 January 2027. This role offers the chance to gain broad exposure to obstetrics and gynaecology, work closely with senior specialists, and play an important part in the supervision and teaching of junior doctors and medical students.
As an O&G; Registrar, you will provide day-to-day patient care under the supervision of senior medical staff, attend gynaecological clinics, participate in the after-hours roster, and contribute to the safe and coordinated management of patients across the unit. You will also be supported with regular education, simulation training and opportunities to be involved in clinical audit and research.
About the Department
The O&G; Department is focused on providing quality care to the patients and wider community. You will experience a broad range of clinical practices and caseloads, with more one-on-one time with supervising Consultants.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Current registration (or eligibility) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated clinical ability at registrar level in obstetrics and gynaecology
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing safe, patient-centred care

About LRH

Our catchment covers 42,000 square kilometres, from Phillip Island to Mallacoota in the far east of Victoria. Medical and radiation oncology are offered by the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre. A recent expansion has improved maternity and paediatric facilities, ICU capacity, beds and operating theatres.
