About the role
Vinarchy is looking for a Winery Maintenance Fitter to be responsible for the preventive maintenance, repair, and improvement of all mechanical systems and equipment across the winery. This role ensures minimal downtime and optimal efficiency of vintage equipment, fermentation equipment, filtration equipment, pumps, conveyors, and other winery systems.
This is a full time, shift working position based at Berri Estates Winery, SA.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on winery machinery and equipment
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in all processing equipment including, tanks, pumps, presses, filtration equipment and conveyors
* Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
* Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
* Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and food-grade standards
* Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimize production downtime
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts usage
* Work closely with production staff to understand operational issues and implement solutions
* Assist with general facility maintenance
* Maintain inventory of spare parts and report needs to management
* Implementation of preventative maintenance programmes in the Winery facility
* Recording maintenance activity on the maintenance computer system
What You'll Bring:
Functional:
• Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade).
• Experience in a winery, food/beverage processing, or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Fork lift Licence
• Understanding of Tag out procedures.
• Understanding of working from height regulations
• Understanding of hot works regulations and procedures
• Fluid Power, Pneumatics and Hydraulics

• The ability to prioritise critical tasks and cope with changing priorities
