About the Role

The Friends' are currently inviting Expressions of Interest from passionate, forward-thinking teachers who are interested in future teaching opportunities across our Primary, Middle and Senior Schools. Whether your expertise lies in the arts, sciences, humanities or student support, we'd love to hear from educators who share our commitment to excellence in teaching and student care.

Areas of interest

We are seeking expressions of interest across a range of teaching areas, including but not limited to:

Primary School (Early Learning – Year 6)

* Early Childhood Education
* Primary Classroom Teaching
* Music
* Visual Arts
* Physical Education and Health
* Languages
* Learning Support / Enrichment
* Library / Information Literacy

Middle and Senior School (Years 7–12)

* English
* Mathematics
* Science (General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Environmental Science)
* Humanities and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Philosophy, RaVE)
* Languages (French, Spanish, Chinese – IB and TCE pathways)
* Business, Economics and Legal Studies
* Health and Physical Education / Outdoor Education
* Visual Arts
* Music (Classroom, Ensemble, Instrumental, Vocal, Composition)
* Drama and Theatre
* Design and Technologies
* Digital Technologies / ICT
* Food and Fibre / Food Technology
* Learning Support / Student Enrichment
* Teacher Librarians
* IB Core Subjects (e.g. Theory of Knowledge, CAS, Extended Essay supervision)

Teaching and Learning at Friends'

Essential Qualifications

* Registration with the Teachers Registration Board (TRB)
* Current First Aid & CPR Practical Assessment
* Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (employment category)
* A current National Police Check
