The Role
We are seeking an energetic, contemporary and enthusiastic Music Specialist with strong interpersonal skills to join our Specialist Phase of Learning team.

We believe the Arts are an integral part of a well-rounded education. Music inspires creativity, builds confidence and strengthens emotional well-being. This role plays an important part in enriching our school culture, supporting staff and students, and engaging our wider community through music. We are seeking someone, ideally with a natural ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with students, colleagues and families. As our music teacher you will ideally have a sense of fun, a passion for music education and the ability to establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Successful applicants will ideally possess a deep understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to deliver high quality Music lessons for students in Years 1-6. You would deliver an eclectic approach to the Music curriculum incorporating Orff and Dalcroze methods through the Music Futures program, featuring a wide range of Music genres, and integrating technology. You should display exemplary teaching skills, with a strong motivation to excel, and a commitment to delivering best practices. The capacity to thrive in an environment characterised by whole school connected practice, collaborative team structures, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth is highly valued. Ideally, the successful applicant would have experience in and be able to:

* Rehearse, organise and coordinate school and community productions and performances,
* Coach the school choir/band,
* Coordinate the Instrumental Music School Services (IMSS) students and selection of IMSS students; liaising and supporting IMSS staff to coordinate performance opportunities; and
* Contribute to raising the Music profile within the school and school community.
