Key Responsibilities Podiatry Clinical Practice (Primary Focus) Assessment & Diagnosis Treatment & Intervention Orthotic & Footwear Management Wound Care Education & Documentation Clinical Lead Mentorship & Escalation Clinical Governance Stakeholder Relations Operational Input Position Requirements & Selection Criteria Essential Criteria: Qualifications: Bachelor of Podiatry, Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine, or an equivalent AQF Level 7 (or above) qualification. Registration: Current, or eligibility for, general registration as a Podiatrist with the Podiatry Board of Australia (AHPRA). (Overseas candidates must hold or be in the process of obtaining an ANZPAC skills assessment). Clinical Experience: Demonstrated post-qualification experience in general podiatry, high-risk diabetic foot management, and minor nail surgeries (including phenolisation) under local anesthesia. Autonomy & Leadership: Proven ability to manage a full clinical caseload independently, paired with the readiness to mentor and support other practitioners. Communication: Exceptional clinical reasoning and English language proficiency (meeting AHPRA and Department of Home Affairs requirements). Compliance Checks: A valid Australian driver's licence with a reliable vehicle, an NDIS/Aged Care Worker National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and up-to-date immunisation records (including Influenza and COVID-19). Desirable Criteria: Prior experience working within residential aged care, community health, or domiciliary settings. Deep familiarity with Australian Aged Care Quality Standards. Previous experience in a senior clinician, supervisor, or clinical lead capacity. Key Relationships Internal: Reports directly to the Director; works closely with the local Clinical Lead (Peer), regional podiatrists, and the national operations/finance team. External: Aged care residents and families, Facility Managers, Directors of Nursing, GPs, and allied health professionals.
