Framework Search and Select is working closely with a highly successful and established Private Quantity Surveying Firm with offices throughout Australia. You will be working for a PQS based in Brisbane that has a strong track record in providing both cost consultancy services and financial advise to some of Australia's largest construction firms.
**About the role**:
Due to the growth of the company and the massive uptake of projects, our client is looking for experienced Quantity Surveyors of all levels for the opportunity to work within one of the highest-regarded QS firms in Brisbane. The role will grant you the opportunity to work in a multi-faceted, busy and challenging environment that will see you focus on a broad range of projects including residential, commercial, infrastructure and more.
**Responsibilities**:
- Cost planning and estimating
- Cost analysis and benchmarking
- Value management
- Design option appraisal
- Post-contract cost control
- Preparation of Bills of Quantities, project cash flows, reports, asset management and life cycle costing
- Preparation of tender documentation
- Resource management and planning
- Assistance in staff development
- Assistance with business development
**Skills & Experience**:
- A minimum Degree in Quantity Surveying is required
- A minimum 2 years of relevant local experience is required
- PQS experience or consultancy background desired
- Technically strong cost planning, cost management and reporting skills
- Highly developed report-writing abilities
- Independent worker who is able to work with mínimal supervision
- Strong negotiation, contract management and communication skills
- Experience with CostX
