Details: Forrest Primary School is looking for a dynamic teacher librarian who is dedicated to the profession, inclusive of all in our diverse community, collaborative with colleagues and desires to make the school library the learning hub of the school. Forrest Primary is a proud International Baccalaureate (IB) World School delivering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and a commitment to the principles and practices of the PYP are upheld by all staff. There is a 50% teaching load attached to this position.

Eligibility/Other requirements: Applicants must have a recognised teaching qualification along with a recognised Teacher Librarian qualification or be currently enrolled in a course to attain this qualification.

Mandatory

* A minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification.
* Current professional teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI).
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration )

* Cultural Integrity and Inclusion: Commitment to embedding the diverse perspectives of our school community within the role
