$73,834 to $111,364 per annum + 12% Super

Within the Tasmanian Health Service Framework and in accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the speech pathologist will:

* Assess, plan and carry out treatment programs, in accordance with organisational policies and the professional code of conduct, for clients referred to the Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU). Rotation across clinical work areas in rehabilitation may be required.
* Provide care collaboratively with the client and carer and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
* Assist the Senior Speech Pathologist in ensuring best practice standards for speech pathology services provided at CRU.

The CRU Service and Team:

* Deliver adult outpatient rehabilitation service working with clients with a diverse range of diagnostic conditions, primarily acquired neurological conditions (e.g. stroke, traumatic brain injury) and progressive neurological conditions (e.g. Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis).
* Comprise an interdisciplinary team (including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dietetics, Social Work, Rehabilitation Nursing, Art Tutor, Allied Health Assistants) with a focus on client centred goal setting and rehabilitation planning.
* Work with clients to achieve their rehabilitation goals in our well-equipped centre and in their home and community.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary:$73,834 to $111,364 per annum.Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.

Salary Packaging:

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

* Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

* Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia
* Eligible for membership with the Speech Pathology Australia

Or where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements

* Full member of Speech Pathology Australia

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
