You will join a multidisciplinary team providing specialised outreach and community-based support for individuals experiencing mental illness and homelessness across Western Sydney.
* Located at Parramatta Community Health Centre within the Jeffrey House mental health hub
* Home to Integrated Community Health, Drug & Alcohol and Community Mental Health teams
* Includes Acute Care, Homeless Outreach and Clinical Care services

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals experiencing mental illness and homelessness in the community. This role combines advanced clinical practice with leadership, service development and mentoring to strengthen community mental health services.
* Provide comprehensive mental health assessments, crisis intervention and short-term treatment in community settings
* Develop collaborative care plans with consumers, carers, GPs, NGOs and community services to support recovery and stability
* Advocate for vulnerable consumers to ensure equitable access to health and social support services
* Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and education to junior clinicians and multidisciplinary staff
* Lead service improvement initiatives, participate in research and contribute to strategic planning and program development

Essential Requirements:
* Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Psychology OR Social Work OR Occupational Therapy OR Nursing and Post Registration Qualifications relevant to field or experience or qualifications deemed appropriate by organisation. Registered Nurses require a minimum of 5 years full time post registration experience with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in specialty.
* Registration: Full Registration with AHPRA or Eligibility to be a member of AASW for Social Workers
Selection Criteria:
* Experience and clinical skills working with mentally ill consumers conducting community mental health triage, comprehensive assessments, including risk and safety planning as well as experience in provision of collaborative care and discharge planning. Registered Nurses require a minimum of 5 years full time post registration experience with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in specialty.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with consumers/carers/families and has experience working with families who are coping with Mental Health Illness.
* Highly developed interpersonal communications skills, effective verbal, written and negotiation skills and intermediate computer skills
* Experience and knowledge in acute mental health intervention, early intervention, and CALD issues.
* Understanding of the recovery philosophy and trauma informed care in Mental Health with the ability to implement these in clinical practice.
* Experience in mentoring, clinical supervision, education and training; experience in developing and implementing quality improvement activities/projects.
* Understanding of NSW Mental Health Act (2007).
* Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia (P2 acceptable) willing to use it for work purpose
