The Company
We are exclusively recruiting a newly formed Project Manager role in Commercial and Industrial Contracting in Coatings in Shepparton and surrounding areas. (My client will only interview candidates who live in the area). Although your office based in the Branch in Shepparton, this role will see you spend much of your time driving throughout your territory with a minimum of 2 x site visits per week per project. From the south it will cover Bendigo, central area is Shepparton, north is up to the border including Echuca and at the moment across to Albury/Wodonga east to Beechworth and right and down south east to Seymour. It's a huge territory, so an open clean drivers licence is a must as is the ability to travel long distances weekly. Ideally it would suit someone who lives in or near Shepparton.
The Role
* Must have extensive experience in subcontractor management, permanent labour hire for project management, trade management on site from time to time and maintenance contracts in a similar market. DET, Private Schools, State Gov, Commercial Construction, Industrial sites, Hospitals, Facilties Management Companies.
* This is not a Residential Building Project Management role this is PM in Commercial external buildings only. So experience in running Projects for external refurb work would be ideal in Commercial and or Industrial.
* Key Project Management Markets – schools, councils, shopping centres, hospitals, aged care, pubs/clubs/tourism, agricultural, industrial buildings, construction maintenance contracts and upgrades within local Gov, Education, Strata, Building Services, Facilities Maintenance Companies, Hospitals, Commercial Buildings, Retail and Hospitality.
* Assess budgeted hours and costs at tender stage, negotiate contract terms with subcontractors and suppliers, monitor on site performance.
* Ensure client satisfaction through high levels of verbal and written communication.
* Oportunities for professional growth and development, with extensive training, mentoring and support to become confident, accountable, and impactful as early as possible.
* Etensive experience in managing concurrent projects, experience in understanding rates and wages for permanent trade staff and sub contractors
* Experience in quoting, estimating on CostX, proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook and Excel, MS Project Management
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
* High level of problem solving ability, excellent customer service and communication skills – resolving issues/advising clients of progress, proven high level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Exceptional face to face communication and active listening style to understand client requirements long term for maintenance contracts.
* Ensure your data is accurately entered and managed within the company's CRM system Microsoft Dynamics.
* Safety and Quality Leadership and Management on site.
About you:
* Expereinced PM in Commercial Contracting in Construction this is needed to hit the ground running and understand the overall challenges within the painting contractor market at a commercial and industrial level.

* BCA knowledge, including working in a Senior level role managing multiple teams across Trades, Engineering, Projects, Maintenance and Sales
