Due to ongoing growth and evolving operational needs, the tax function is expanding. We are now looking for an Indirect Tax Adviser to focus on end-to-end compliance and provide commercial support to a range of stakeholders. The opportunity: Reporting to an experienced Tax Manager, you’ll lead compliance for indirect tax matters across GST, FBT and payroll tax in both Australia and New Zealand. You’ll also provide day-to-day tax advice, support internal reviews and audits, and contribute to process improvements. What you’ll be responsible for: Overseeing the preparation and review of GST, FBT and payroll tax returns Managing reconciliations of indirect tax accounts and ensuring accuracy of submissions Advising internal teams on indirect tax issues and policy Supporting joint venture arrangements and related tax reporting Assisting with half and full-year financial reporting and external audit requirements Contributing to tax governance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Keeping abreast of legislative updates and translating changes into business guidance What you’ll bring: Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or Law; CA highly regarded Minimum 4 years of experience in indirect tax, ideally gained in a Big 4 or large corporate environment Strong knowledge of GST, FBT and payroll tax compliance Excellent Excel skills and exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems Comfortable working independently with strong attention to detail Clear communicator who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and solving problems Why join?
