About This Role
* We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper & BAS Agent to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Record financial transactions in accounting software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
* Manage invoices, process payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
* Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
* Process payroll, tax, and superannuation obligations in accordance with legal requirements.
* Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
* Identify and report any financial discrepancies or irregularities.
BAS Agent Functions:
* Lodge and advise on BAS statements, GST, PAYG withholding, and PAYG instalment obligations.
* Provide expert advice on GST compliance and support accurate calculation of liabilities and entitlements.
* Ensure payroll and superannuation guarantee obligations are met.
* Collate documentation for BAS reporting and liaise with the ATO as required.
* Support external accountants with year-end tax return preparation and financial statement completion.
