Direct Care Assistance (DCA), a leading NDIS service provider, is currently seeking an experienced Female Disability Support Worker, who is pet-friendly to deliver high-quality care to a complex client based in the Mount Eliza, supporting them with a range of individual needs.
As a Support Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the client's quality of life and overall well-being. This role requires commitment, reliability, and the ability to provide personalised care tailored to the client's specific and complex requirements.

* Shifts: 24/7 shift (regular ongoing shift)

What are we looking for?
* 1-2 years experience supporting participants with complex physical support needs or high-care requirements
* Experience supporting clients with respiratory support, epilepsy, or neurological/physical conditions will be highly regarded
* Confidence in providing full personal care and mobility assistance
* Strong understanding of safe manual handling and falls prevention practices
* Compassionate, patient, and professional approach to support work
* Excellent communication and observation skills
* Comfortable working in a home environment with pets
* Reliable, attentive, and able to respond appropriately in high-risk situations
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What You'll be doing? (Essential Duties)
* Provide high-quality personal care support including showering, dressing, toileting, grooming, and continence care
* Assist the client with transfers and mobility support while following safe manual handling practices
* Monitor client wellbeing and remain attentive due to high falls and respiratory risk
* Support the client's daily routines, independence, and community participation
* Maintain professional, respectful, and person-centred communication at all times
* Collaborate with the broader care team regarding care plans, risk assessments, incident reporting, and client updates
* Participate in both in-house and community-based activities
* Follow organisational policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
