What you'll do Provide independent legal advice to support strategic decisions.
Advise on applicable regulatory regimes, including rail industry specific legislative requirements.
Draft and negotiate key commercial contracts (customer, supplier, property).
Assist with dispute resolution and litigation strategy.
Develop compliance programs and manage reporting obligations.
Collaborate on best-practice legal tools and methodologies.
Support policy development, training, and knowledge sharing.
Manage external legal advisers as needed.
Skills & Experience Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and admitted to practice in Australia.
Minimum 4 years' legal experience in private practice and / or in-house.
Strong expertise in commercial contracts; experience in property, planning, and environmental law desirable.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of the rail industry and logistics is advantageous.
