Burnie Central Townhouse Hotel is a popular pub and affordable stay in Tasmania's north west, just minutes from the beach and city centre. Our lively Bistro offers fresh local seafood, hearty meats, and vegetarian options, ideal for group events, cocktail parties, working lunches, and dinners. We're seeking experienced Head Chefs skilled in pub cuisine and group function catering to join our welcoming team!
A Day In The Life Of a Head Chef
Take pride in managing a variety of functions, including group events, cocktail parties, working lunches, and sit-down dinners. Experience in these areas is essential.Command the kitchen like it's your own, keeping it running smooth, safe, and profitableBe a key part of the leadership crew, working closely with the Publican and FOH teamShare your passion, skills, and creativity to grow a high-performing kitchen teamKeep the connection between the kitchen and front of house flowing with good vibes and great food every shift
Inherent Requirements
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
