The East Grampians Health Service (EGHS) Medical Imaging Department offers services in CT, Ultrasound, OPG and General Radiology.
About Us
East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships. We are committed to providing quality care and services that meet the needs of the community, whilst continuously striving for improvement and aiming to lead the way in provision of health related services.
The recently refurbished medical Imaging department is located at the main site in Ararat. It supports EGHS clinical service by offering imaging to both acute patients and the community. In practice, you will work in a team including Radiographers and Sonographers supporting our on-call and weekend work, all having support from our excellent administration staff. EGHS also provides services to our local Medical Practitioners and the Department of Justice Corrections Centre at Ararat.

About the role
• The Radiology team provides services from Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
• The service uses Comrad and InTeleviewer software
• Produce high quality diagnostic images that are reasonably achievable given the patient condition and in accordance with the ALARA principles
• Demonstrate extensive or special knowledge, experience and competence in the required Radiology specialist modalities. Xray/CT experience favourable but not required
• Salary based on skills, knowledge and experience
About You
• ASAR Registration as a practicing Medical Sonographer
• Demonstrated high level experience and skills in sonography
• Proficient in general ultrasound including MSK, vascular and obstetrics/gynae
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated commitment to holistic patient centred care
• Demonstrated ability to contribute and practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated sound level of clinical skills and ability to work safety within scope of practice
• Commitment to flexibility and innovation in practice including an evidence based approach to care
