This is an initial 6 month contract opportunity for a Senior FP&A professional to support a major budgeting and planning cycle.
The business is looking for someone who can step in quickly, bring structure (and calm) to the process, and work effectively across multiple layers of stakeholders. We need someone who understands how planning cycles work in a complex environment and who can help deliver something commercially meaningful.
You will be joining at an important point in the calendar, with the opportunity to support process improvement, strengthen forecasting visibility and help the business make better-informed decisions.
There is strong potential for the contract to extend beyond the initial 6-month term.
Role Profile
Working across the business, you will play a key role in supporting budgeting, forecasting and planning activity. Your focus will include:
* Supporting the delivery of a major budgeting and planning cycle
* Working closely with finance, commercial and operational stakeholders to gather, test and challenge financial assumptions.
* Improving the quality, consistency and usefulness of budgeting and forecasting outputs.
* Building and maintaining financial models to support planning, scenario analysis and decision-making.
* Translating detailed financial information into clear insights, commentary and recommendations.
* Partnering with multiple stakeholder groups to understand drivers, risks, opportunities and competing priorities.
* Supporting broader FP&A improvement initiatives, including process, reporting and governance uplift.
Successful Candidate Profile
This role will suit someone who is comfortable getting into the detail but can also step back and understand the broader commercial picture. You will be an experienced FP&A professional with a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis. You will bring:
* Strong FP&A experience, ideally gained within a large, complex or multi-entity business.
* A proven ability to support budgeting and forecasting cycles from end to end.
* Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly across multiple levels of management.
* The confidence to challenge assumptions, ask good questions and bring commercial discipline to the planning process.
* A calm, self-driven working style suited to an interim contract environment.
* CA/CPA qualification will be highly regarded, although practical FP&A capability, stakeholder confidence and budgeting experience will be the key priorities.
