About the Position
As a Motor Mechanic at Yogi’s, you will be a vital part of our workshop team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide variety of motorcycles ranging from daily commuters and adventure bikes to high-performance sport and classic machines. This hands-on role directly supports our promise of quick, reliable repairs and ensures every customer leaves confident in their bike’s safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using the latest diagnostic tools and equipment
- Perform scheduled servicing, repairs, and maintenance on motorcycles of all makes and models
- Repair or replace faulty parts including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Conduct road tests and final quality inspections before returning bikes to customers
- Install accessories and performance upgrades accurately and to customer specifications
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop workplace in line with WHS standards
- Provide clear technical advice and explanations to customers and parts staff
- Complete all job cards and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as a motorcycle or light vehicle mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across fuel injection, ABS, ECU, and modern motorcycle systems
- Proficiency with specialist tools, diagnostic scanners, and workshop equipment
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine customer-focused attitude
- Current manual driver’s licence and motorcycle licence (highly regarded)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality workmanship
